# Geometric Diamond Chairs This Architect Created Chairs with a Modern and Comfortable Design By Gurveer Brah | Published 2015-08-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometryinspired-chair References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/gemma-daniel-libeskind-moroso/) & [libeskind](http://libeskind.com/work/gemma/) Architecture can span from making giant skyscrapers to home renovations and this project sees the same care for intricate design in a geometry-inspired chair. Gemma by Daniel Libeskind for [Moroso](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-easy) is a project taking the architect out of his element to take on something on a smaller scale. This new collection of [angular seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experiment-chair) sees a carefully crafted chair that uses a gemstone for inspiration. The design sees a contrast between the sharp design with the playful, soft blue and white color variation. The modern piece demands attention as a striking, yet subtle and even polarizing piece of art that balances the innate comfort required from such a piece. This collection for the geometry-inspired chair looks to demonstrate a synergy between the architect's flare for complex geometries, as well as the upholstery standard that is required from a Moroso piece. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geometry-inspired Seating:** Exploring angular and gemstone-inspired designs in seating for a modern and artistic touch. - **Synergy of Complex Geometries:** Combining architects' flair for intricate design with the functionality of upholstery in furniture pieces. - **Polarizing Artistic Furniture:** Creating striking yet subtle pieces that demand attention and balance comfort. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Innovating seating design by incorporating geometric and gemstone-inspired elements. - **Architecture:** Exploring the application of complex geometries and intricate designs in furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** Providing modern and artistic seating options that bring unique and polarizing elements to interior design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Minimal Geometric Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/euclid-chair.md) - [Geometrically Organic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/altherr-dsile-park.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md) - [Wood-Inspired Patterned Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dino-chair.md) - [Marbles-Inspired Intricate Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shepherd-studio.md) - [Swivelling Marbled Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/landmark-project.md) - [Playful Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collection-co.md) - [Simplistically Shaped Geometric Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair.md)
