At night, however, these geometric lamps come alive, glowing with a multi-colored warmth to light up any darkened room. The lamps, created by designer Joa Herrenknecht, are made of a lightweight paper called [Tyvek](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-vase-light) which are cut into triangles and arranged into abstract geometric shapes. When darkness falls, these lamps appear as warm shapes of light. The Tyvek paper can also be colored to give off a hued glow. Since the paper is so thin, these colors look almost like watercolor paints giving them a soft and fluid feel. These lights are more than lamps; they're a kind of artistic structure. From sculptures to glowing geometric shapes, the KOGI Geometric Lamp will brighten up any living space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 78% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geometric Lighting:** Innovative use of Tyvek paper and colorful lighting creates geometric shapes that light up any space, offering opportunities for artistic lighting solutions in home decor and architecture. - **Functional Art:** The KOGI lamps are both functional and visually stunning, offering opportunities for designers to create functional yet aesthetically pleasing pieces in home decor and lighting design. - **Sustainable Materials:** The use of lightweight Tyvek paper offers a sustainable alternative to traditional materials in home decor and lighting design, presenting opportunities for sustainable solutions in the interior design industry. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The KOGI Geometric Lamp offers opportunities for unique lighting solutions in home decor, particularly for those seeking functional yet visually striking pieces. - **Lighting Design:** The innovative use of Tyvek paper and colorful lighting in the KOGI Geometric Lamp presents opportunities for artistic lighting solutions in the lighting design industry. - **Interior Design:** The sustainable materials used in the KOGI Geometric Lamp offer opportunities for eco-friendly solutions in the interior design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Organic Paper-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farolito.md) - [Geometric Industrial Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lamp.md) - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md) - [Elegant Geometric Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-light-fixture.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-drape-light.md) - [Geometric Bar-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/empyrean.md) - [Sculptural Metal Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape.md) - [Lantern-Like Light Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-kyeol-series.md) - [Flat-Pack Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi.md)
