Moore has designed a series of geometric drawings created using a [Sharpie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharpie-studio) marker. He is known as a talented robotic artist that has the ability to draw with precision and fine detail that turns out perfect in every way. He also collaborated with engineer Aaron Panone to create this work titled ‘Numerically Controlled Series’. The use of fine tip markers create a hypnotizing effect within the drawings along with geometric shapes joined together. He uses a 3-axis [CNC](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soundlink-plus) machine that holds a Sharpie marker with precision to draw each figure. The striking designs lure the eye seeing only black on white to create [mesmerizing effects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-sandsara). These geometric drawings are also very symmetrical, making each figure lined up with opposite ends throughout the entire drawing series. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geometric Art:** The trend of creating mesmerizing geometric drawings using precision tools like CNC and fine tip markers creates opportunities for artists to integrate technology and precision into their creative practice. - **Collaborative Creations:** The trend of artists collaborating with engineers and technologists creates disruptive innovation opportunities for creating new art forms, from 3D printing to augmented and virtual reality experiences. - **Hypnotizing Designs:** The trend of creating mesmerizing and hypnotizing visual designs using geometric shapes creates opportunities to integrate art and technology in advertising, branding, and experiential marketing campaigns. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Geometric art and design is disrupting the traditional art industry and creating new opportunities for artists to integrate modern technologies and tools into their practice. - **Engineering and Manufacturing:** The use of CNC machines and precision tools like fine tip markers is disrupting traditional manufacturing industries and creating new opportunities for precision-focused engineering and design solutions. - **Advertising and Marketing:** The trend of creating mesmerizing and hypnotizing visual designs using geometric shapes creates disruptive innovation opportunities in advertising and marketing campaigns across various industries, from fashion to technology. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Mathematically Shaped Surfaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mathematically-shaped.md) - [Geometric Dynamic Stationary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexagonal-ruler.md) - [Graffiti-Inspired Marker Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graffitiinspired-marker-set.md) - [Geometric Sculpture Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-box.md) - [Color-Blending Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felipe-pantone.md) - [Pattern-Drawing Dual-Tip Pens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-curve-pens.md) - [Realistic Sketch-Reflective Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-series.md) - [Music AI-Generated Visual Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modem.md) - [Compact Precise Sketching Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-helvetica.md)
