According to a recent survey, Gen Nexters, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers agree on one thing - [smoking pot is socially acceptable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cornbread-hemp-thc-seltzers) In fact, [smoking marijuana](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/women-of-weed) is increasingly viewed as more socially acceptable than over drinking.

Gambling is another vice that Gen Nexters have no problem with. Again, their older counterparts... 60% of them... agree that it's an acceptable passtime.

Seniors are the one group who continue to have misgivings about both activities.

**Implications** - Consumers are becoming less restricted on what is acceptable on the market. Products that allow for exploration are appealing to those who want to discover new things in life.
