British cartoonish Gemma Correll illustrated a menu guide that fits right in with her history of artwork that depicts life's simple but familiar things. Her recently [illustrated book](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amusebouche) about a dog's life had viral success and she is following it up with this satirical menu guide.

[Restaurant menus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eat-your-cocktail) often features little graphic icons beside each food listed that depicts what type of food it is. For example, a menu listing could be shown as vegan with a leaf graphic beside the title or it could be labeled gluten-free with a crossed-out wheat bundle illustration.

Gemma's ‘Decoding Your Menu’ guide features similar icons, but they are much more humorous. For example, she illustrates the description "May Contain Peanuts" with an actual [Peanuts Comic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starbucks-x-peanuts-collection) character.
