Designed by [Google Japan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/google-gboard), the concept replaces standard keys with a set of circular dials that users rotate to select characters. Each spin produces a physical click before snapping back into place, transforming text entry into a rhythmic, hands-on interaction. The design emphasizes motion, intention, and sound, offering an entirely different sensory relationship with digital communication. Google has released the Gboard Dial Version as an [open-source project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edglrd-x-higround), allowing users to download blueprints, print components, and assemble the device themselves. The modular structure supports multiple layouts and customization, encouraging experimentation and personalization. Sensors translate each rotation into input signals, bridging mechanical nostalgia with modern functionality. The Gboard Dial Version turns everyday typing into a creative process, demonstrating how humor and design innovation can reframe technology through physical engagement and charm.
