Collaborators Pro Global and project management C-Partners have created this structure to resemble a [patch of mushrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-void). This project was completed in 2011, and stands out like an alien object at night with a glowing top that, when combined with the fungus-like aesthetic, is almost psychedelic. The [disks rest upon three sleek columns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/science-island-museum), which appear to create a sense of unity between the lower and upper parts. At night, the above lighting illuminates the entire structure, making it highly visible from the highway. Directly behind the structure is the rectangular gas station, and its interior features wood beams that lend to a warm feel. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Psychedelic Mushroom Architecture:** Exploring the use of mushroom-inspired designs in architecture opens up opportunities for creating unique and visually striking structures. - **Nighttime Illumination:** Incorporating innovative lighting techniques into architectural designs allows for eye-catching structures that are highly visible at night. - **Natural Aesthetics:** The integration of nature-inspired elements in architectural design can create a sense of harmony and aesthetic appeal. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture and Design:** The field of architecture and design can leverage psychedelic mushroom structures to create avant-garde, visually stunning buildings. - **Lighting Technology:** The lighting industry can innovate with new lighting solutions that enhance the visual impact of structures, particularly at night. - **Sustainable Construction:** Incorporating natural aesthetics in construction projects can lead to the development of sustainable and eco-friendly buildings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mushroom-Constructed Room Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mush-room.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Dining Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grybova-hata.md) - [Music Festival Fabric Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fabric-mushrooms.md) - [Latticed-Steel Transport Hub Columns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metropolitan-station.md) - [Mushroom-Shaped Village Libraries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mushroom-library.md) - [Glazed Pavilion Landscape Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dongdan-grassland-sea-ruins-station.md) - [Mushroom-Like Wooden Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carbon-garden-pavilion.md) - [Stunning Mushroom-Shaped Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mushroomshaped-table-lamp.md) - [See-Through Refueling Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hrs-by-starck.md)
