# Yacht-Shaped Showers The Garvida Velaro Shower Pulls a Nautical Theme to Your Poolside By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-10-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garvida-velaro-shower References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/005688.html#more) & [garvida.de](http://www.garvida.de/gardan.html#) If you've got any need to hose down outdoors, it's generally because you've taken a dip in your chlorinated pool or a swim in the nearby lake or ocean. The look of the Garvida Velaro shower is then very appropriate for any house with such man-made or natural facilities, given that its form is reminiscent of a sailboat. The charming patio rinser is constructed on a slatted wooden base that's cut to resemble the bow of a boat. A durable Gardan synthetic wicker fabric is wraps around two of its three edges, acting as a spray barrier on one side and a backsplash on the other. The nozzle of the Garvida Velaro shower is mounted at the apex of the second textile wall, appearing with its curved shape as a mainsail full of wind. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Outdoor Showers:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced outdoor shower designs that provide a unique and aesthetic experience for users. - **Nautical-inspired Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine nautical themes with functional products to create visually appealing and distinctive designs for various industries. - **Sustainable Materials:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the use of eco-friendly and durable materials in the manufacturing of outdoor products, such as showers, to attract environmentally conscious consumers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home and Outdoor Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative and visually striking outdoor decor products, such as the Garvida Velaro shower, to enhance the ambiance of residential and commercial spaces. - **Hospitality and Resorts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate nautical-themed designs, like the yacht-shaped shower, into the amenities and facilities of hotels and resorts to provide a unique and memorable guest experience. - **Sustainable Living and Eco-tourism:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop sustainable and eco-friendly outdoor shower solutions for camping grounds, beach resorts, and other eco-tourism destinations, highlighting the use of renewable materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Square-Shaped Showerhead Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerhead-designs.md) - [Demure Hand Shower Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bell-jar-shower-head.md) - [Accessible Shower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/accessible-showers.md) - [Hygiene-Focused Shower Head Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showerclear.md) - [Sleek Self-Pleasure Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/womanizer-wave.md) - [Sharp Ultra-Slender Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antoniolupi-tubo.md) - [Nature-Inspired Artful Shower Heads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-bathing-collection.md) - [Water-Saving Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu.md) - [Fully Integrated Smart Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/power-shower-head.md)
