It’s not your typical family. First of all, it’s only comprised of males, and honestly, what family can actually function properly without a woman to tell them what to do or not to do? Just look at this bunch of misfits, they’re just crying for a mother’s touch. Or else, bringing me to my second point, they are the way they are simply because they are a family of trolls. Spawned by illustrator and photo manipulator Aja Jones, the Gargantum Troll Family is just one of the many [fairytale families](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fairy-tales-narrated-with-your-voice) he has fathered. From [goblins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oni-kara-denwa-app) to [zombies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyber-zombie) to magical creatures, Aja Jones thrives on the world of fantasy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 16% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Fantasy Illustrations:** An opportunity for illustrators to create their own fairytale families and characters to tell epic tales. - **Gender-bending Creations:** An opportunity for artists to redefine how family units are portrayed through the use of gender-bending or non-traditional representation. - **Creative Storytelling:** An opportunity for artists and writers to explore new ways of storytelling by creating unique and captivating characters that defy traditional norms. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Illustration and Design:** Graphic designers and artists can use Aja Jones' work as inspiration to create their own imaginative fairytale worlds and characters. - **Publishing:** Publishers can leverage artists like Aja Jones to create new children's books and illustrated novels that cater to the growing demand for diverse and inclusive representation in literature. - **Entertainment and Media:** Film studios and game developers can adapt Aja Jones' characters and stories into movies, TV shows, and video games to engage audiences and create new franchises. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Whimsical Gnome Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-gnome-on-the-roam.md) - [Personalized Story Creators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinkertell.md) - [AI Fairytale Generator](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-fairytale-generator.md) - [Equitable Fairy Tale Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fair-tales-by-odeabank.md) - [Mythological Two-Piece Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corazon-marikit-doll.md) - [Gothic Puzzle Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/addams-family-lego.md) - [Personalized Toddler Tales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-spark-book.md) - [Fashionable Zombie Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombaes-critter-chaos.md) - [Folded Paper Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clara-von-zweibergk.md)
