Tangent is a collection of [porcelain vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torre-vases) accompanied by iron trays, a winning combination which allows the user to create their own [unique floral arrangements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-vase). The base of each vase is curved, and when set atop the tray, it almost appears to be hovering above it. However, the vase balances on the tray by utilizing the pull of a Neodymium magnet against the iron. Aesthetically speaking, the silhouette and colors of each vase were inspired by still life paintings by Giogio Morandi. Meanwhile, 'Grow' is a [series of pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere) that have a similarly rounded silhouette as the Tangent vase, making them appear as though they are growing out of the wood they are based upon. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Still Life-inspired Gardening:** Designing gardening appliances that resemble still life paintings offers a unique and aesthetically pleasing approach to gardening. - **Suspended Planters:** Creating planters that appear to be floating or hovering above a tray using magnetic technology adds a touch of innovation and style to floral arrangements. - **Organic Integration:** Developing pots with curved silhouettes that seamlessly blend with natural materials like wood creates a harmonious connection between plants and their surroundings. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore the potential of integrating art-inspired designs into gardening appliances for unique and visually appealing home gardening experiences. - **Floral Arrangements:** The floral arrangements industry can leverage the concept of suspended planters to enhance the presentation and design of flower arrangements in events, weddings, and floral businesses. - **Landscape Design:** The landscape design industry can incorporate and integrate the concept of organic integration to create more visually cohesive and harmonious outdoor spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Natural Material Gardening Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-collection.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Oversized Colorful Dynamic Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tfm.md) - [Sculpturally Provocative Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vibrant-sculptural-vase.md) - [Dynamic Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-planters-1.md) - [Nature-Inspired Design Objects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plantbased-2.md) - [Minimalist Gardener Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-cultivator.md) - [Plant-Cultivating Home Furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-4.md) - [Plant-Friendly Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jcp-universe-coloniae.md)
