The snack product features the brand's signature savory and crunchy pieces made with a [vegetable-based recipe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harvest-snaps-flavors) to offer an alternative to sweet treats this springtime. The snack has 30% less fat than leading potato chip snacks with no artificial preservatives, artificial flavors or colors. The Garden Veggie Snacks™ Spring Eggs come in individually serving packets that are well-suited for being used as part of an Easter egg hunt, passed out to classmates in school or packed into lunches as a crunchy portioned snack. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.5/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 67% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Branding](https://www.trendhunter.com/branding) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Savory Holiday Snacks:** A shift from sweet confections to salty, savory treats during holidays creates room for seasonal products that redefine festive snacking expectations. - **Vegetable-based Indulgences:** Growing interest in vegetable-forward recipes positions crunchy, savory vegetable snacks as premium indulgences that challenge traditional chip categories. - **Portioned Single-serve Packaging:** Demand for individually wrapped, portion-controlled snacks opens possibilities for convenient, occasion-specific formats tailored to events like egg hunts and classroom treats. ### Who This Affects Most - **Snack Food Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore reformulated savory products with reduced fat and clean-label ingredients that compete with mainstream salty snacks. - **Retail Seasonal Merchandising:** Seasonal retailers may broaden Easter assortments with non-candy savory options that diversify holiday shelf space and gifting assortments. - **School Lunch Programs:** Institutional food providers have potential to incorporate portioned, preservative-free savory snacks as healthier alternatives for classroom distribution and packed lunches. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Clean Label Veggie-Based Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-veggie-snacks-products.md) - [Heart-Shaped Veggie Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valentines-mini-hearts-snack.md) - [Better-For-You Veggie Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hain-celestial-garden-veggie-snacks.md) - [Christmas Tree-Shaped Veggie Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-veggie-holiday-trees.md) - [Veggie-Infused Snack Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/happy-orchard-products.md) - [Tangy Veggie Snack Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sensible-portions-garden-veggie-snacks.md) - [Easter Chocolate Snack Squares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rice-krispies-square.md) - [Snack Chip Easter Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/temprd-x-fairfield-farm.md) - [Dairy-Free Viral Chocolate Eggs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/happi-pistachio-crunch-easter-egg.md)
