Located in Autin, Texas, designer' Shane Michael Pavonetti's latest project marries traditional construction practices with modern design details. Featuring "a refined mix of local style and an industrial aesthetic", Garden St. Residence boasts a wood-clad facade that reveals an unexpected interior. Once inside the home, visitors are greeted with an airy and open-concept plan that is accented with clean fixtures and little ornamentation. Event though it blends into the rustic surroundings of its Austin neighborhood, the home's steel fixtures and industrial-style tiles are reminiscent of New York loft spaces. Studio Pavonetti's vision is to create "buildings that get better with age" and this modern country home is a great testament to this manifesto. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Rustic-industrial Fusion:** The fusion of industrial design elements with rustic materials and construction methods presents opportunities for creating unique and visually striking homes. - **Modern Country Living:** The trend towards modern simplicity in country living spaces creates opportunities for designers to create comfortable, modern homes in rural areas. - **Refined Local Style:** Combining refined design elements with locally sourced materials presents an opportunity to create beautiful, sustainable homes with a strong sense of place. ### Who This Affects Most - **Architecture:** Incorporating industrial design elements into traditional construction practices presents an opportunity for architects and designers to create innovative structures that stand out. - **Real Estate:** The trend towards modern simplicity in country living spaces creates an opportunity for real estate agents to market innovative, unique homes that appeal to a wide range of buyers. - **Construction:** Combining locally sourced materials with modern, industrial design elements creates an opportunity for construction companies to offer a new type of home building service that is both sustainable and visually striking. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Garden Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attic-above-garden.md) - [Log Cabin-Inspired Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balbek-bureau.md) - [Log Cabin-Inspired Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/restua.md) - [Plant-Based Cabin Constructions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cross-cabin.md) - [Captivating Modern Prefab Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skali-backcountry-cubiod.md) - [Modern Holiday Mountain Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krasnyk-house.md) - [Plant-Based Timber Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cross-cabin.md) - [Compact Urban Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-house.md) - [Countryside Woodland Cabin Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aralar-cottage.md)
