Also known as The Green Trunk, it was designed in France by Pinel & Pinel, a company renowned for their [luxury luggage and trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bounce-checkin-trunk). [Bonsai plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-botanicals-set) are perfect for the gardener without a yard, and this grow box suits the tiny trees perfectly. It is outfitted with an Osram 80w horticultural light, two drawers used to collect overflow water and a kit of bonsai maintenance tools. The leather exterior is available in 51 colours and is trimmed with heavy nickel-plated brass hardware. Is The Green Trunk practical? That is yet to be determined, but the company has designed trunks for bikes, picnics and iPods, a movie theatre in a case, and even a Pocket Office, so why not a boxed garden for the indoors? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 25% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Indoor Gardens:** Creating trunks and luggage which house miniature indoor gardens using specialized light and water collection system. - **Luxury Luggage:** Designing high-design, luxury luggage and trunks that offer innovative features like miniature indoor gear, and other unique features for the discerning traveler. - **Bonsai Tools:** Creating specialized kits of bonsai maintenance tools that cater to home gardeners with no yard, i.e., those who rely on indoor garden products like the Green Trunk. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home and Garden Industry:** Developing products that cater to those who live in apartments with no access to a yard, such as indoor garden products like Kibako. - **Luggage and Travel Industry:** Creating innovative, feature-rich baggage perfect for customization and personalization, like Pinel & Pinel's bespoke Green Trunk. - **Specialty Tool Industry:** Creating innovative and customized tools for hobbies like bonsai, which enhances the experiences of gardeners using specialized garden gear for indoor gardening products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Indoor Gardening Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gud-plant-box.md) - [Chic Self-Watering Garden Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glowpear-mini-bench.md) - [Biodegradable Growing Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sow-co-bonsai-tree.md) - [Suitcase-Style Travel Trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-portable-trunk.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Posh Pooch Travel Trunks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archis-travel-trunk.md) - [Travel Trunk-Inspired Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-vuitton-cabinet-of-curiosities-by-marc-newson.md) - [Plush Plant-Shaped Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuseable-bonsai-tree.md) - [Soil-Free Garden Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-system.md)
