Featuring a waterproof PVC backing, the rug is designed to protect the surface of the garage from moisture and debris. It features a non-slip design that won't allow it to slide around a space freely, while it is easily cleaned with a hose, vacuum or power washer, depending on the level of dirtiness that is observed. The Water-Absorbing Garage Mat is available in a variety of different size variations to make it suitable for a variety of different indoor spaces that are exposed to outdoor elements. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Waterproof Mats:** Opportunity to develop innovative, dual-layer waterproof mats for various indoor spaces. - **Water-absorbing Technology:** Opportunity to incorporate advanced water-absorbing technology into different products and applications. - **Non-slip Design:** Opportunity to create non-slip products with versatile applications for improved safety. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Automotive:** Opportunity for the automotive industry to offer waterproof garage mats as an accessory for car storage. - **Home Goods:** Opportunity for the home goods industry to develop innovative water-absorbing rugs and mats for indoor spaces. - **Cleaning Equipment:** Opportunity for the cleaning equipment industry to create specialized tools for cleaning and maintaining waterproof mats. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Washable Pet Carpets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dayspring-mat.md) - [Machine-Washable Shag Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/machine-washable-shag-rugs.md) - [Waterproof Desktop Technology Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spillresistant-desk-mat.md) - [Washable Reversible Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/washable-reversible-rugs.md) - [Custom-Crafted Car Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3w-mats.md) - [Patterned Luxe Progressive Doormats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-outlier.md) - [Recycled Private-Brand Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entrance-mat.md) - [Machine-Washable Rug Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rugello-by-kleentex.md) - [Washable Superhero Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superhero-rugs.md)
