# 8-Bit Gamer Phone Tools This Gaming Stylus Mimics the Pickaxe from Minecraft By Kyle Towers | Published 2013-02-24 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-stylus References: [thinkgeek](http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f26a/) This gaming stylus looks to be dragged and dropped straight out of Minecraft as it retains its original appearance. It's almost ironic that this iconic tool can now be used for functions in real life. What would be even more special is if you played an actual Minecraft game on your touchscreen with it. One of the best parts about this gaming stylus is that it possesses the capability to be used in multiple fashions. Maybe one does not want to navigate through their screen with a pointing motion, but instead with a pickaxe motion. It may not be for everyone, but at least you have the option and it may come in handy depending on which app you are using. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Gaming Stylus Tools:** Offering innovative and customizable gaming experiences for mobile device users. - **Nostalgic Gaming Accessories:** Reviving classic gaming tools and styles for modern use. - **Real-life Function Gaming Tools:** Bridging the gap between virtual games and real life activities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Mobile Gaming Industry:** Integrating unique and creative mobile gaming tools and accessories. - **Consumer Electronics Industry:** Creating customized accessories that provide personalized gaming experiences. - **Toy and Collectibles Industry:** Expanding the market for nostalgic gaming-related collectibles and accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorful Tech Stylus Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crayon-pro.md) - [Minimalist Mobile Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-controller.md) - [Game-Inspired Hygiene Essentials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minecraft-diamond-scrub.md) - [Micro Smartphone Gamepad Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/8bitdo-mobile-clip.md) - [Micro-Sized Gaming Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-gaming-device.md) - [Compact Clip-On Gaming Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jacknife-gamer-mini-gamepad.md) - [Mappable Mobile Gamer Controllers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultimate-mobile-gaming-controller.md) - [Compact Gamepad Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-gamepad.md) - [Game-Themed Retro Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/higround-2.md)
