The minimalist drawings by Jerry Liu are done in a [vector art style](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vector-to-hand-drawn) and depict characters from the hit [HBO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-of-thrones-x-pandora) television show. The Washington DC-based art director and designer created the [fan art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-dark-knight-collection) in a two dimensional format with little amount of detail, making clever use of characteristic color schemes to make them recognizable. The Game of Thrones illustrations are of characters such as Jon Snow and his albino direwolf, Melisandre, Arya and the Mountain, Tyrion and his entourage, Ygritte and other wildlings. They are drawn with accessories like swords and other weaponry, as well as Melisandra's blood red pendant. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Art:** Opportunity to create minimalist art in various industries, such as fashion, interior design, and advertising. - **Fan Art:** Opportunity to create fan art for popular TV shows, movies, and video games, opening up possibilities in the entertainment and merchandise industries. - **Vector Illustrations:** Opportunity to create vector illustrations for various industries, including graphic design, publishing, and animation. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in minimalist art and vector illustrations in the art and design industry. - **Entertainment:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in fan art for TV shows, movies, and video games in the entertainment industry. - **Merchandise:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in creating merchandise inspired by fan art and minimalist art in the merchandise industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Show-Inspired Coloring Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-the-dragon-1.md) - [Fantastical Edition Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/15-pro-game-of-thrones.md) - [Fantasy-Inspired Soap Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dr-squatch-1.md) - [Fantasy-Inspired Hiking Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merrell-house-of-dragon.md) - [Fantasy Prequel Wines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-the-dragon-fire-blood-cabernet-shiraz.md) - [Fantasy Roleplay AI Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dd-character-portraits.md) - [Thematic Dragon-Inspired Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragon-inspired-timepieces.md) - [Fantasy-Series Inspired Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diff-eyewear.md) - [Dragon-Themed Alcohol Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cider-and-wine.md)
