These stylish fantasy plaques are designed to look like authentic medieval tapestries you'd find hanging inside the walls of a [traditional stone castle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hollywood-hills-house-1). Each plaque comes with a [colorful 3D design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toothless-model) of the family's animal sigil mounted to a wooden base. There are several plaques to choose from depending on which family you support in the run for the Iron Throne. Currently there are only three families to choose from -- Targaryen, Stark or Lannister -- so choose wisely who you align yourself with or you might just lose your head. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Medieval-inspired Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to create medieval-inspired products that cater to fans of fantasy and history. - **Personalized Fan Merchandise:** Opportunity for merchandise companies to offer personalized plaques and other accessories that allow fans to showcase their support for their favorite TV shows. - **3D Design and Printing:** Opportunity for design and printing companies to create intricate 3D designs that can be mounted on various surfaces, bringing a new level of customization to decor items. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can capitalize on the popularity of fantasy and historical themes by creating unique, medieval-inspired wall plaques and tapestries. - **Merchandise:** Merchandise companies can tap into the cult following of popular TV shows like Game of Thrones by offering personalized accessories and collectibles, such as family house plaques. - **Design and Printing:** Design and printing companies can leverage 3D technology to create intricate and customizable designs for various products, including wall plaques. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Thematic Dragon-Inspired Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragon-inspired-timepieces.md) - [Fantasy-Series Inspired Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diff-eyewear.md) - [Fantasy Prequel Wines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-the-dragon-fire-blood-cabernet-shiraz.md) - [Fantasy Keycap Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hogwarts-house-keycaps.md) - [Fantasy-Inspired Hiking Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merrell-house-of-dragon.md) - [Fantasy-Inspired Soap Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dr-squatch-1.md) - [Dragon-Themed Alcohol Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cider-and-wine.md) - [Fantasy Footwear Collaborations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/merrell-2.md) - [Show-Inspired Coloring Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-the-dragon-1.md)
