Shaped like the Iron Throne as depicted in the [HBO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-of-thrones-x-pandora) television series, the [tree ornament](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-christmas-ornament) is available from ThinkGeek. The [Game of Thrones Christmas ornament](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spicy-chicken-sandwich-ornament) fits small sized action figures, so you can continue to play or display it after the holidays. You will likely want to purchase more than one, lest you want a real life game of thrones to break out over the festive decoration. The officially licensed Game of Thrones decor hangs from a chain and only weighs 5 ounces, so it won't snap off your Christmas tree branches. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 62% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Throne-themed Decor:** Opportunity for companies to create a range of decor items inspired by popular franchises, allowing fans to display their love during holidays. - **Action Figure Ornaments:** Emerging trend of creating ornaments that can be used both as decorations and as accessories for action figures, providing a unique and customizable experience for collectors. - **Licensed Franchise Decor:** Growing market for licensed holiday decorations that cater to specific fan bases, giving businesses the chance to capitalize on fan loyalty and increase sales. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to expand their product offerings by creating ornaments and decorations inspired by popular franchises. - **Toy Manufacturing:** Opportunity for toy manufacturers to tap into the holiday market by creating action figure ornaments that provide a dual purpose for collectors and fans. - **Licensing and Merchandising:** Opportunity for licensing and merchandising companies to collaborate with popular franchises and create licensed holiday decor items to cater to fan demand. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gaming Star Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invincibility-star.md) - [Collectible EDC Christmas Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-james-brand-throwflake.md) - [Festive Tree-Inspired Mugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christmas-tree-mugs.md) - [Complimentary Fried Chicken Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fried-chicken-ornament.md) - [Drinking Vessel Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beernaments.md) - [Personalized Pet-Inspired Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petinspired-ornament.md) - [Faux Christmas Candle Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christmas-table-decoration.md) - [Novelty Supermarket Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aldis-novelty-baubles.md) - [Branded Christmas Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spicy-chicken-sandwich-ornament.md)
