The waterproof device works by being affixed to the head under the swimmer's cap to immediately start tracking their activity in the water, while also enabling them to listen to their favorite music without a headset. The 'Galerdo' swim tracker also provides connectivity to [real-time audio coaching](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-workout-companion) that will keep them in touch with the data and eliminate the need to perform mental tracking of their training as they go. This will enable swimmers to feel more motivated as they train, avoid boredom and blast past their threshold to train for longer without feeling disconnected. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Waterproof Tracking Devices:** Opportunity to develop technologically advanced tracking devices that can be used in water-based activities. - **Real-time Audio Coaching:** Opportunity to create interactive audio coaching systems that provide real-time feedback and motivation during training sessions. - **Discreet Swim Technology:** Opportunity to design compact and inconspicuous technology specifically for swimmers that enhances their training experience. ### Where This Applies - **Fitness Technology:** Opportunity for fitness technology companies to expand their product lines with waterproof trackers tailored for swimming. - **Audio Technology:** Opportunity for audio technology companies to develop innovative solutions for providing real-time coaching and music playback during water activities. - **Sportswear and Accessories:** Opportunity for sportswear and accessories companies to incorporate discreet swim technology into their products, offering a seamless and enhanced training experience for swimmers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Underwater-Safe Smart Goggles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-swim-2.md) - [Augmented Reality Swim Goggles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/augmented-reality-swim-goggles.md) - [Swimming-Friendly Headphone Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-outlier-free-pro.md) - [Palm-Worn Swimming Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eo-swimbetter.md) - [Underwater Bone Conduction Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suunto-aqua.md) - [Proprietary Connection Swimming Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swimming-headphones.md) - [AI Sports Training Headsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mojawa-haptifit-terra.md) - [Waterproof Bone Conduction Headphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/openswim-pro.md) - [Health-Tracking Swimmer Bracelets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soswim-safety-bracelet.md)
