'Mobil 1,' the world's leading synthetic motor oil company, announced the '[Gen. G Mobil 1 Racing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gen-city)' project in collaboration with 'Gen. G,' the global esports organization. Through this project, the two companies will be launching two professional esports teams for the game '[Rocket League](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ally).' The two teams will be split between one men's team and one women's team. To date, this is the largest commitment to esports from a dedicated motor oil company.

These teams will compete in Rocket League pro tournaments, such as Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) and the Women's Carball Championship (WCBC). Both Gen. G and Mobil 1 stated that each team will receive equal promotion and opportunities as the companies share a commitment and dedication to [gender equality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skin-club).
