The G House is designed around two courtyards designed for different uses. The materials used to construct each seasonal courtyard also differ greatly based on these uses. The first courtyard, for the summertime, of G House by Esau Acosta is a terrace made from [glass and plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house) to be used in warm weather. The G House's second is an [interior courtyard made of wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oak-house-1) to be used for cooking and entertaining in the wintertime. Esau Acosta is an independent architect and the materials in the construction were all locally sourced. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 94% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Architecture:** The G House showcases the potential of modular architecture in modern home design. - **Seasonal Design:** The use of different materials for different seasons in the G House points towards a trend of seasonal design in homes. - **Local Sourcing:** Esau Acosta's use of locally sourced materials in the G House indicates a growing trend towards sustainability and eco-friendliness in architecture. ### Where This Applies - **Home Building:** The modular design of the G House presents opportunities for the home building industry to embrace modular architecture and its benefits. - **Interior Design:** With its seasonal design approach, the G House could inspire new trends in interior design that take into account the changing needs of homeowners for different seasons. - **Sustainable Construction:** Esau Acosta's use of locally sourced materials in the G House aligns with the trend towards sustainable construction practices and presents opportunities for companies in this industry to innovate in eco-friendliness. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hillside Concrete Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concrete-house-1.md) - [Colorfully Bright Hillside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canary-house.md) - [Reflective Artful Calming Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-gesso.md) - [Sleek Modular German Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-anton-ii.md) - [Sculptural Canteliver Concrete Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-del-alma.md) - [Boxy Shaped Beach Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roman-izquierdo-bouldstridge.md) - [Concrete Gridded Garden Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rua-polnia-house.md) - [Modern Concrete Hayfield Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/759-house.md) - [Black-Concrete Mountain Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-house-1.md)
