The device is a powerful tablet with a mounting port on the bottom of the device. This port slides into an included carrying case that doubles as a kickstand with a built-in keyboard, instantly transforming the tablet into a compact laptop. The FydeTab Duo is unique to the market as it runs on an open-source operating system based on Linux and created by Fyde, titled 'Fyde OS.' According to Fyde Innovations, Fyde OS will be capable of running numerous Windows, Linux, and Android applications, resulting in this hybrid laptop being a productivity powerhouse. The FydeTab Duo is powered by an 8nm [Rockchip](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/opensource-flagship-smartphone) [Rk3588S](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indiedroid-nova) SoC with up to 10 hours of battery life.
