The design is equipped with a capacitive sensor touchscreen that can be used for controlling the main [Dell](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-laptop-series) computer, which functions as both the keyboard and a control panel. The desk features the computer system integrated across most of the surface, which is further enhanced with a touch mousepad, a sculpted illuminator and more. The conceptual futuristic work desk is finished with a series of soft-close drawers on the shorter end of the furniture piece to help enhance storage. The workstation imagines an ultra-modern take on office furniture that could be realized sooner than later in professional environments or home workspaces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Futuristic Workstations:** Designing workstations with advanced technology and a sleek aesthetic, that creates a futuristic feel in home and professional environments. - **Capacitive Sensor Touchscreen Integration:** Integrating touchscreens into furniture pieces, improving accessibility of technology to users at home and office. - **Sculpted Illuminators:** Incorporating sculpted illuminators into furniture designs, creating an ambiance that complements high-tech furniture. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Industry:** Developing innovative furniture designs that integrate cutting-edge technology, creating furniture that can double up as control panels and workstations. - **Technology Industry:** Incorporating touchscreens, capacitive sensors, and computing hardware into furniture designs to create hybrid furniture pieces that merge technology with home and professional environments. - **Home Office Industry:** Designing furniture that is functional, ergonomic, and futuristic that can complement the minimalist, modern design style of home offices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Futuristic Sculptural Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk.md) - [Elegant Working Desk Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindset-builtin-computer-desk.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md) - [Futuristic Gaming Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/project-sophia.md) - [Minimalist Modular Creative Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-desk.md) - [Single-Piece Construction Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-desk.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Hyper-Customizable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hypercustomizable-desk.md) - [Ultra-Organized Work Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-for-students.md)
