Traditional disco balls are a thing of the past, and now you’ll never feel abandoned while you’re dancing with a dependable pal like this disco gnome. Creative husband-and-wife duo Robert and Cortney Novogratz designed each gnome by hand by applying thousands of tiny mirrors in an effort to bring “life” to the party. The [Disco Gnome](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco-volante-turntable) is a handy alternative for those who simply don’t want to hang a disco ball from the ceiling. Plus, the Disco Gnome is portable and can be [plugged into any standard outlet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jbl-partylight), making it easy for you to carry your best friend everywhere. However, if your dancing days are over, Disco Gnome adds a futuristic flair that’ll brighten up any living space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Futuristic Decor:** The use of futuristic design elements in home decor and party accessories brings a modern and innovative touch to traditional items. - **Portable Party Products:** The demand for portable, easy-to-use party products is on the rise as people seek convenience and flexibility in their entertainment options. - **Handcrafted Artistry:** The appreciation for handmade and artisanal products is growing, as consumers value the uniqueness and craftsmanship that comes with them. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can capitalize on the trend of futuristic design by incorporating innovative elements into their product lines. - **Party Supplies:** Party supply companies can meet the demand for portable and convenient products by creating a range of portable party accessories and decorations. - **Art and Crafts:** Artistic and craft-based businesses can leverage the growing appreciation for handmade products by offering unique and handcrafted party decorations and accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Disco Light-Replicating Illuminaries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flasher.md) - [Whimsical Gnome Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-gnome-on-the-roam.md) - [Disco Ball-Inspired Pizza Ovens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discoven.md) - [Road-Ready Disco Ball Helmets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disco2disco-disco-ball-helmet.md) - [Mythical Creature Garden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elf-welcome-solar-light.md) - [Smart Fairy Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-fairy-lights.md) - [Retro Music Device-Inspired Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drought.md) - [Retro App-Controlled Lava Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appcontrolled-lava-lamp.md) - [Millennium-Inspired Turntables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gadhouse-cosmo-solar-edition.md)
