Globular Landscape Artworks

Future Memories by Catherine Nelson, a visual artist based in Australia, is an art series that blends digital, paint and photography components into one. By digitally manipulating photographs with a painterly eye, the Sydney- and London-trained painter has created a collection of globular landscapes that will boggle the mind. Although not a new concept, this artist has brought the technique to another level.

Comprised of 20 floating spheres, Future Memories by Catherine Nelson is full of varying foliage, animals and weather that evoke different moods in viewers. Meticulously detailed, the series is becoming of an individual who has worked extensively in visual effects for movies such as 'Harry Potter' and 'Moulin Rouge.' She chose to go down this circular root because she felt that traditional photography wasn't expressive enough.
