The pieces — all of which carry a note of avant-garde construction in them, are incredibly clever and functional. The designer creates the line with a younger audience in mind and one that particularly occupies "homes without communal living rooms." The furniture for narrow spaces is grouped under a collection called 'Corridor Society.' The designs include a seat-coat rack hybrid, [stackable shelving units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/original-modern-shelving), a corner-wrapped chair and table set, as well as wall-mounted cushions. Seray Ozdemir's clever designs that skillfully combine minimalism and geometric shapes are not only conventionally practical but they also aim to motivate a sociable household. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 97% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Functional Furniture for Narrow Spaces:** Opportunity for creating innovative furniture designs that optimize space in small living environments. - **Avant-garde Construction in Furniture:** Opportunity to develop furniture with unique and unconventional designs that appeal to a younger audience. - **Combining Minimalism and Geometric Shapes in Furniture:** Opportunity to create furniture pieces that are visually appealing and practical, incorporating minimalist design elements and geometric shapes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to create innovative and space-saving solutions for small living environments. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate avant-garde furniture designs into their projects, catering to a younger audience. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to offer furniture pieces that combine minimalism and geometric shapes, meeting the demand for both aesthetic and functional pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Kitchen Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-kitchen-furniture.md) - [Storage-Centric Minimal Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kurve-furniture.md) - [Interlocking Living Room Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interlocking-living-room-furniture.md) - [Sliding Grid-Affixed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/square-to-square.md) - [Multifunctional Layered Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/n15-layered-furniture.md) - [Storage-Friendly Origami Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kerf.md) - [Bulky Rounded Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oblong-collection.md) - [Flexible Modular Nomad Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/8-33-collection.md) - [Modular Configured Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet.md)
