# Textile Storage Tables This Drawer by Holm Giessler & Jennifer Heimann Mimics a Sewing Table By Yanis Rudzitis | Published 2011-02-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/funny-textile-storage References: [freshome](http://freshome.com/2011/02/24/fun-and-colorful-drawer-with-textile-container/) & [hallo-essen](http://www.hallo-essen.com/hallo-essen/leer.html) It is really difficult to find new concepts for things that are really simple and familiar to us. Designers Holm Giessler and Jennifer Heimann have done just that by reinventing the concept of a drawer. Now the traditional drawer design has a vibrant textile container that was inspired by old sewing tables. This addition gives the drawer a really nice design feature, making the storage not only practical but also fun and beautiful. **Implications** - Although many people search for items that are unique and amazing, practically is an important aspect that will help in aiding the decision of a purchase. Items that are impractical have no use for people who are looking to use a product to its fullest extent. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Reimagined Drawers:** Opportunity for designers to reinvent the concept of drawers and create unique storage solutions. - **Textile-inspired Design:** Incorporating textiles into furniture design enables practical and visually appealing storage options. - **Functional Aesthetics:** Balancing functionality and aesthetics in product design can enhance user experience and attract consumers. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Furniture:** Innovative drawer designs have the potential to disrupt the home furniture industry by offering new storage solutions. - **Textile Manufacturing:** Incorporating textiles into furniture design opens up opportunities for the textile manufacturing industry to provide unique materials for product development. - **Interior Design:** The integration of textiles into furniture design presents an opportunity for interior designers to create visually engaging spaces that prioritize functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Steel Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multidrawer.md) - [Desk-Attached Modern Drawer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otis-hanger-30.md) - [Metallic Multifunctional Storage Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabine-101.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Undulating Fabric-Topped Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/groove-table-concept.md) - [Spinning Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table.md) - [Minimalist Storage-Paired Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diag-desk.md) - [Storage Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks.md) - [Thoughtful Wheeling Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabinet-on-wheels.md)
