There are three variants of this chair available. The Fusion Armchair has [wooden arms and legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedia-tonda) and the seat sits just above the floor. The Fusion Upholstered Armchair is the same but with [upholstered arms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amia). The Fusion Light Armchair has a seat that sits 25cm above the floor. The Fusion Light is my favourite of this line, adding in some modernity with an unexpected twist. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-functional Furniture:** The Fusion Armchair is a prime example of a multi-functional furniture design, opening up potential for innovation in furniture industries. - **Hybrid Design:** Sancal's Fusion Armchair combines traditional wooden furniture elements with modern, upholstered features - a hybrid design approach with potential for further innovation. - **Low-sitting Seating:** The option of a low-sitting seat in the Fusion Light Armchair highlights a growing trend in low-to-the-ground seating across furniture design and interior decor fields. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Innovative furniture designs like the Fusion Armchair cater to demands in the interior design industry for multi-functional and hybrid furniture pieces. - **Office Furniture:** Entrepreneurs in the office furniture industry can incorporate a multi-functional chair design like the Fusion Armchair to cater to the needs of professionals who need furniture which does more than one task. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The rising trend in low-sitting seating like the Fusion Light version of the Fusion Armchair can be used as a marketing edge by furniture manufacturers trying to appeal to customers captivated by the trend. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Padded Upright Vibrant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fender-chair.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Flamboyant Vintage-Inspired Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quiltana-armchair.md) - [Sophisticated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ff-chair-collection.md) - [Cuvaceous Lined Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rita-arm-chair.md) - [Dynamic Outdoor Upholstered Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/africa-collection.md) - [Chunky Cylindrical Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/umi-armchair.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md) - [Geometrically Chromatic Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archibald-armchair.md)
