# Pastry Pouf Chairs Diego Gugliermetto Designed Fun Seating To Look Just Like Decadent Desserts By Alyson Wyers | Published 2014-08-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fun-seating References: [lostateminor](http://www.lostateminor.com/2014/08/04/dessert-furniture-designed-sitting-eating/) & [gugliermettodiego.it](http://www.gugliermettodiego.it) If you are looking for some sweet furniture to spruce up your home or office with, this fun seating designed by Diego Gugliermetto is the way to go. Based out of Italy, the designer created chairs that look exactly like pastries, poufs and other baked goods. The [poufs and confectionary couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-modular-seating) offer something your body can sink into, rather than just your teeth. But just like treats, you probably can't have just one. Ideal for waiting rooms -- for full irony points, use these to furnish a dentist's office -- or to top off sugary sweet decor, the fun seating adds cuteness to any room. The designer also created other [food inspired seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-jelly-collection), including a chocolate bar shaped couch and a yellow pepper pouf. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Food-inspired Furniture:** There is a growing trend of designing furniture that resembles food, offering a fun and unique aesthetic for interior design. - **Playful Seating Options:** Designers are creating seating options that prioritize comfort and playfulness, enhancing the overall experience of sitting and lounging. - **Unexpected Materials:** Using unconventional materials to create furniture, such as pastries and baked goods, brings a sense of novelty and creativity to the industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Innovative furniture designers have an opportunity to tap into the demand for unique and eye-catching pieces that stand out in the market. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate food-inspired furniture into their projects to add a touch of playfulness and whimsy to their clients' spaces. - **Hospitality and Entertainment:** Hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues can utilize food-inspired furniture to create a memorable and Instagram-worthy experience for their guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mochi-Inspired Seating Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mochiinspired-seating.md) - [Rippled Modular Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puffa-furniture.md) - [Danish Pastry-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-art-collection.md) - [Eco-Friendly Pouf Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rio-pouffe.md) - [Voluptuous Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/voluptuous-seating.md) - [Pastel-Tonal Abstract Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowie.md) - [Compact Pillowy Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sander-series.md) - [Cinnamon Roll-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bun-bun-chair.md) - [Curvaceous Padded Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-chair.md)
