Although this message could easily be relayed in person or through a card, this [boxed announcement](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cake-in-a-box) makes a delightful treat for the eyes that's out of the ordinary. The inside of the small box comes printed with "Bun in the oven," a message which is supported by an adorable bun that's been sculpted from salt dough. To add to the surprise, LittleElephantCrafts also includes a slot where a custom paper message can be added in. The neutrally-colored boxes are wrapped in raffa ribbon, which is a clever way to ensure that the outside of the box doesn't hint at anything to do with babies or pregnancy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 6% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Personalized Pregnancy Announcements:** Creating personalized and unique pregnancy announcements using creative materials like salt dough presents opportunities to disrupt the traditional announcement methods. - **Surprise Gift Announcements:** Using unexpected gift formats, such as a boxed announcement, to surprise loved ones with good news provides potential for innovative gifting experiences. - **Non-traditional Baby Reveals:** Exploring non-traditional ways to reveal pregnancies, such as through baked goods, offers scope for disruption within the realm of baby announcements. ### Where This Applies - **Handmade Crafts:** The handmade crafts industry can seize the opportunity to create and sell unique pregnancy announcement materials and kits. - **Gifting:** The gifting industry can capitalize on the trend of surprise gift announcements by offering specialized, customizable gift products and services for various occasions. - **Bakery and Confectionery:** Bakeries and confectionery shops can explore new possibilities in offering customized baby announcement treats, expanding their products beyond traditional baked goods. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Frozen Gender-Reveal Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whats-the-scoop-gender-reveal-cake.md) - [Cardboard-Resembling Illusion Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-cake.md) - [Motherhood Cereal Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/special-for-a-reason.md) - [Bread-Themed Wrapping Paper Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bakermee.md) - [Limited-Edition Gender Reveal Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gender-reveal-cake.md) - [Postpartum Snack Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/postpartum-snack-box.md) - [Fertility Food Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agni.md) - [Convenient Cake Dessert Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-big-cake-bento-boxes.md) - [Branded Pregnancy Scans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pregnancy-scans.md)
