Use these to hold your documents together and people will start taking notice of you. The bright colors scream fun and enthusiasm. These fun paper clips are shaped like characters from the famous 80s video game ‘Pac Man.’ Although by today's standards, the game seems pretty basic, at the time it was revolutionary. ‘Pac Man’ ended up getting a sizably large fan base. You played as Mr. Pac-Man, a little yellow head, as you work your way around a maze trying to eat all the colorful dots. You also had to watch out for the ghosts who were always around the bend and looking to find you. The little yellow clip is Mr. Pac Man himself, and the other colorful clips are the ghosts, named Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) > [Holiday](https://www.trendhunter.com/holiday) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Retro Gaming-inspired Office Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a line of office supplies inspired by classic video games to add fun and nostalgia to the workplace. - **Revival of 80s Pop Culture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop products and experiences that tap into the nostalgia for 80s pop culture, targeting a demographic seeking a sense of familiarity and nostalgia. - **Gamification of Work:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the concept of incorporating game elements into work tasks to enhance engagement, productivity, and enjoyment in the workplace. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Office Supplies:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovate and introduce unique office supplies that bring joy and personality to mundane tasks. - **Pop Culture Merchandise:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a range of merchandise inspired by iconic 80s pop culture to cater to a growing market of nostalgia-seeking consumers. - **Employee Engagement and Productivity:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop platforms and tools that leverage gamification techniques to boost employee engagement, motivation, and overall productivity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Retro Plug-and-Play Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-plug-play-systems.md) - [Gamified Cookie Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oreo-pacman.md) - [Korean Game-Inspired Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-desk-accessories.md) - [Nostalgic Gamer Donut Ranges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krispy-kreme-x-pacman-collection.md) - [Crinkle Fry-Inspired Clips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fries-clips.md) - [Dedicated Desktop Character Microphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pacman-microphone.md) - [Video Game Crochet Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woobles-pacman-crochet-kit.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-side-table.md) - [Retro Gaming Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamestation-retro.md)
