Now you can store your fruit in a visually appealing manner as well as keep it from getting bruised. The [elastic fruit basket](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bread-laces) by Wassily comes with an intricately woven silicone structure that looks a lot like a spiderweb. The silicone strings hang tightly between the fruit basket's bright red metallic frame. Because the strings are woven so close together consumers can hang a [wide variety of fruit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/exotic-fruit-basket) inside the basket. The [fruit peel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apeel) clings effortlessly to the silicone allowing your lemons, limes, apples, oranges and pears to hang inside the basket without touching one another. Keeping the fruit separated help to eliminate unnecessary bruising so that your fruit stays fresh longer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 30% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Special](https://www.trendhunter.com/special) > [Holiday](https://www.trendhunter.com/holiday) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Elastic Fruit Baskets:** The trend of using innovative elastic basket designs to prevent fruit from getting smushed. - **Weaved Silicone Structures:** The trend of utilizing intricately woven silicone structures in fruit baskets to prevent bruising. - **Visually Appealing Fruit Storage:** The trend of combining functionality and aesthetics in fruit storage solutions to create visually appealing designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Kitchenware:** The kitchenware industry can explore using the innovative weaved elastic design in various products to enhance functionality. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** The furniture and home decor industry can incorporate the visually appealing fruit baskets as unique decorative pieces for kitchens and dining areas. - **Food Packaging:** The food packaging industry can adapt the weaved silicone structure concept to create innovative packaging solutions that protect fragile and delicate produce. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Delicate Basket Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculpture.md) - [Rotating Shopper Baskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-concept.md) - [Conveniently Packaged Premium Fruits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fruit-snack-cups.md) - [Green Produce-Preserving Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freshworks-produce-saver.md) - [Space-Saving Storage Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kossebar.md) - [Fruit-Adorned Adhesive Bandages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adhesive-bandage.md) - [Timeless Wool Storage Baskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wool-storage-basket.md) - [Mushroom-Based Fruit Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mycoworks-fruit-bowl.md) - [Sophisticated Upcycled Home Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures.md)
