# Homeshare Smart Locks The 'Pin Genie' Front Door Locks are Engineered for Maximum Safety By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-09-22 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/front-door-locks References: [homecrux](http://www.homecrux.com/2016/09/21/52281/unlock-your-home-in-just-four-presses-with-pin-genie-smart-lock.html) & [smartlock.pin-genie](http://smartlock.pin-genie.com/) The 'Pin Genie' smart front door locks enable home owners to maintain maximum security over their home without having to render it difficult for approved parties to enter. Working with an accompanying app, the 'Pin Genie' lock can provide randomized passwords to users that will work only during a set time or for a specific period. This makes the 'Pin Genie' locks an exceptional option for those that use homesharing sites such as [Airbnb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbnb-2). Homeowners can simply approve users for entry and rest assured that they won't have access beyond their approved stay. The 'Pin Genie' smart front door locks also enable family members (up to eight in total) to each get their own pin to let the administrator know who entered and at what time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Smart Security Systems:** The 'Pin Genie' smart front door locks are a disruptive innovation opportunity in the smart security systems industry. - **Homesharing Technology:** The 'Pin Genie' locks provide a secure solution for homesharing platforms like Airbnb, creating an opportunity for innovation in the homesharing technology industry. - **Digital Access Control:** The 'Pin Genie' locks offer a new level of digital access control, presenting opportunities for disruption in the access control industry. ### Where This Applies - **Smart Home:** The 'Pin Genie' locks contribute to the advancement of smart home technology, offering potential disruptive innovations in the smart home industry. - **Homesharing:** The 'Pin Genie' locks cater to the needs of homesharing platforms, paving the way for disruptive innovations in the homesharing industry. - **Access Control:** The 'Pin Genie' locks introduce a novel approach to access control systems, presenting opportunities for disruptive innovation in the access control industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Easy-to-Install Smart Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezviz-dl01s-smart-diy-lock.md) - [Palm-Recognizing Smart Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-deadbolt.md) - [Multifunctional Smart Door Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockin-veno-pro.md) - [Smartphone-Centric Smart Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/schlage-encode-plus.md) - [Smart Lock-Supported Rentals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbnb-2.md) - [Auto-Securing Smart Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eufy-security-smart-lock.md) - [Easily Installed Intelligent Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/securaki.md) - [Biometric Bank-Grade Door Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/securam-touch.md) - [Minimalist Biometric Door Locks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aqara-u100-smart-lock.md)
