# Epic Pixelated Buildings The Frog Queen Headquarters in a Low Resolution Design By Summer Luu | Published 2011-02-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frog-queen References: [bookofjoe](http://www.bookofjoe.com/2011/02/viaffffound.html) & [splitterwerk.at](http://splitterwerk.at/database/main.php?mode=album&album=2007__Frog_Queen&dispsize=512&startsite=1) Your eyes are not playing tricks on you, the Frog Queen building really does have a low-resolution facade so you can stop adjusting your peepers. The Frog Queen (or the Prisma Engineering Headquarters) was designed by Splitterwerk and is a machine and motor technology company, so it is fitting that the exterior of its office building is one giant pixelated design. What is even more neat is that each pixel contains heavy circular patterns when you look at the Frog Queen more closely. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Pixelated Architecture:** Exploring the use of pixelated designs in architectural facades can create unique and visually striking buildings. - **Optical Illusion Design:** Incorporating optical illusions into building facades can capture attention and create a memorable experience for visitors. - **Patterned Pixels:** Using intricate patterns within pixelated designs adds depth and complexity to architectural aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Design:** Architects and designers can leverage pixelated facades to create innovative and standout buildings. - **Technology and Manufacturing:** Integrating technology and manufacturing expertise can enable the creation of intricate pixelated building designs. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Hotels and tourist attractions can utilize optical illusion designs to attract visitors seeking unique experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Office Building Rainbow Facades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertical-rainbow-office.md) - [Animated Game-Inspired Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rainbow-road.md) - [Pixelated Illusion Housing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/van-b.md) - [Warped Stacked Residence Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quinta-do-rei.md) - [Pixelated Furnished Eyewear Stores](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunet-eyewear.md) - [Code-Generated Pavilion Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-orb.md) - [Pier-Side Dynamic Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-hq.md) - [Bubblegum Street Art Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hubbabubbabuilding.md) - [Feminine Silhouette Tall Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telus-sky-tower.md)
