# Contemporary Statement Lamps The Freyja Sewell Lighting Collection is Full of Artistic Designs By Meghan Young | Published 2013-11-04 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freyja-sewell-lighting References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/continuation-hush-freyja-sewell/) & [freyjasewell](http://freyjasewell.co.uk/work/) The Freyja Sewell Lighting collection is at once artistic and practical. Comprised of three lamps, each one serves a purpose in different ways. While they all illuminate a space in an atmospheric way, they do so quite uniquely. For instance, Haven spans over a floor like an umbrella. By doing so, it provides a cozy space as well as light. The [Hush](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graphiced-collection) shade, on the other hand, is created using the [left over materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys) from the Hush seats. Whether made out of wool felt or [copper mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection), the pieces making up the Freyja Sewell Lighting collection are eye-catching. They would strike quite the statement in homes, offices and even hotel lobbies. Of course, the red touches helps in this department as well as the bulbs used. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Artistic Lighting Designs:** Opportunity for designers to create unique and visually striking lighting fixtures that serve both practical and artistic purposes. - **Innovative Use of Materials:** Opportunity for using unconventional materials in lighting design, such as wool felt and copper mirrors, to create eye-catching pieces. - **Atmospheric Illumination:** Opportunity to develop lighting solutions that provide not only light but also create a cozy and atmospheric environment. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate artistic lighting designs into their projects, creating visually appealing spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity for furniture manufacturers to collaborate with lighting designers to create unique lighting fixtures using innovative materials. - **Hospitality:** Opportunity for hotels and restaurants to enhance their ambiance by incorporating atmospheric lighting solutions into their interior decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fluid Structural Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loja.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Architecturally Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fall-2022-lighting.md) - [Ultra-Chic Sculptural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-design.md) - [Recycled Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys-collection.md) - [Dynamic Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meld-collection.md) - [Vertical Formed Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tower-lighting.md) - [Physics-Based Artful Light Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aura-collection-1.md) - [Artfully Liquid-Like Light Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cairn-lamp.md)
