When it comes to [buying protein bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-bar), consumers are most often required to head to a grocery store and make a purchase by the bar or box—but [Orlando's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visiolab) Macaw! Foods is offering an alternative way for people to shop and puts its focus on locally made, [fresh protein bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clean-protein-bars). The shop can churn out 1,000 bars per hour, with its bars boasting a base of dates, cashew butter and natural flavorings.

It is becoming more and more common to see stores and restaurants with a single-ingredient focus. This is exemplified by everything from artisanal mustard bars to restaurants that serve entire menus based on fries or avocados.

As Macaw! Foods' owner Owen Seay describes: "I really just want to make great products and get them to customers with the fewest amount of headaches, and that’s what’s led me to open a shop instead of going through retail stores."
