# Cheesy Potato Dinners This Simple Crock Pot Recipe Makes an Easy & Cheesy French Fry Meal By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2015-03-06 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/french-fry-meal References: [tammileetips](http://www.tammileetips.com/2015/01/crock-pot-french-fry-casserole/) It's an old trick to use rice to beef up something like a soup and have it stretch further as a meal, but who ever thought that a french fry meal could do the same? This Crock Pot French Fry Casserole recipe from the Tammilee Tips blog is a simple one that involves only ground beef, onion, beans, cheese, a can of tomato soup and a bag of frozen fries. As well as having hardly any ingredients, there's virtually no preparation required, since everything does into a slow cooker at once. The fries won't be as crisp as when they're fried, but after a few hours in a crock pot, the cooked potatoes become soft. This super comforting meal is ideal for the winter, or any other instance you have the time to prepare a quick and easy meal option ahead. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Easy Meal Options:** Discovering and creating quick and simple meal ideas using minimal ingredients and preparation. - **Slow Cooker Recipes:** Exploring the use of slow cookers to create convenient and flavorful dishes with minimal effort. - **Stretching Ingredients:** Innovating ways to use ingredients more efficiently to create satisfying and cost-effective meals. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Food and Beverage:** Opportunities for food companies to develop ready-made ingredients and meal kits that cater to busy individuals looking for easy meal options. - **Cookware and Kitchen Appliances:** The demand for innovative slow cookers and related kitchen tools that simplify meal preparation and cooking processes. - **Meal Delivery Services:** Providing meal delivery services that offer pre-packaged ingredients and recipes for easy-to-prepare meals at home. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Triple-Cheese Mashed Potato Cups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mashed-potato-cups.md) - [Onion Soup-Flavored Burgers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campbells-onion-soup-burgers.md) - [French Fry Restaurant Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fifis-fry-co.md) - [Customizable Potato Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fry-bags.md) - [Chip-Created Mashed Potatoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lays-potato-chip-to-potato-dish.md) - [Twice-Baked Potato Side Dishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twice-baked-potatoes.md) - [Heat-and-Eat Baked Potatoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fully-baked-idaho-potatoes.md) - [Veggie-Packed Fries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dr-praegers-sensible-foods.md) - [Comforting Savory Potato Soups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loaded-potato-soup.md)
