It is because it was inspired by puppies. More specifically, the Frank Lamp was influenced by the [playful qualities of puppies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snoopy-lamp), the ones that prove irresistible at home, reeling in anyone with a heart. From the way its [movable legs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp) crouch and stand in adorable attention-grabbing ways to its purposefully abstract and squat boxy frame, the Frank Lamp will entice anyone to pick it up to play with. Designed by Pana Objects, a studio based in Thailand, the Frank Lamp is also simple enough to light up any living space or office. Made out of [Beech wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp), the Frank Lamp might look basic, but it is full of personality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Animal-inspired Lighting:** Creating lighting designs that mimic the qualities of animals can add a playful and adorable touch to any living space or office. - **Abstract and Squat Designs:** Exploring abstract and squat forms in lighting design can create unique and attention-grabbing visual appeal. - **Wooden Lighting Fixtures:** Using natural materials like Beech wood in lighting designs can add warmth and personality to any interior. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate animal-inspired lighting designs to create a whimsical and playful atmosphere in homes, offices, and other spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore the use of abstract and squat designs in creating unique and eye-catching lighting fixtures that complement their product line. - **Lighting and Home Decor Retail:** Lighting and home decor retailers can capitalize on the trend of wooden lighting fixtures to offer customers a range of eco-friendly and visually appealing lighting options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Character-Like Wireless Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/puddy-table-lamp.md) - [Dimmable Dog Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grejsimojs.md) - [Bold Playful Lighting Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp.md) - [Malleable Connected Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pofu-lamp.md) - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md) - [Comforting Multifunctional Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buddy-portable-lamp.md) - [Ambient Aesthetically Pleasing Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pofu.md) - [Playful Table Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toto-lamp.md) - [Adorable Cartoon Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightweight-and-adorable.md)
