French perfumery [Maison Diptyque](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maison-margiela-fragrance) commissioned Zoe Paul to create [fragranced art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stories-of-a-miss) for the brand's 60th-anniversary exhibition. Now open in Paris with [pop-ups worldwide](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-focused-fragrance) to follow, the show features original works by eight other artists, five of which created editioned objects fragranced by the perfumery.

Each artist draws inspiration from locations around the world: Paul draws hers from Greece; Joel Andrianomearisoa from France; Rabih Kayrouz from Lebanon; Johan Creton from Italy; Hiroshi Sugimoto from Japan. Paul's inspiration, in particular, came from the inside of Chiron's cave in Greece. The result is an image of a single hand, held together by a hand-pressed gold tin frame. The artist explains its correlation to Diptyque's Milies fragrance: "I was thinking about these hands crawling their way out of the earth because the perfume smelled kind of soily and earthy."
