Rivalry, a popular esports betting company, has announced the new FragFest event, which is a dedicated Counter-Strike 2 local-area network (LAN) tournament hosted alongside Mohan 'Launders' Govindasamy. The event will take place in Toronto, Canada, with a prize pool of $2,500 CAD and 16 total teams competing. FragFrest is scheduled to broadcast in January 6, 2024, and hopes to "engage Toronto-based esports fans" as the first dedicated Counter-Strike event in the region.

“Not only is Launders a one-of-a-kind personality in the industry, but he’s also personally aligned with our vision to create meaningful activations and entertainment for the local esports community in Toronto," said Britt Doll, [Rivalry Canada's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rivalry) Marketing Director. “With Counter-Strike 2 coming into focus and its first major event coming up in a few months, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner and activation to kick off this next era of Counter-Strike esports.”
