Spongebob never claimed to be realistic, so when Fox ADHD does bring a more realistic viewpoint to it, you get a very different picture. In this video, we see that real sponges don't do anything but lay around, sea stars eat sponges and they even replace the [friendly pirate](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plankton-the-movie) with a not-so-friendly Somalian pirate. They even get into darker comedy by speaking about the nuclear dumping done in the ocean. Fox ADHD definitely isn't your typical cartoon programming block. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Internet](https://www.trendhunter.com/internet) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Realistic Cartoon Depictions:** Opportunity to create cartoons that take a more realistic approach, providing a unique and humorous perspective. - **Satirical Children's Programming:** Chance to create satirical content for children, challenging traditional storylines and injecting humor. - **Dark Comedy in Animation:** Potential for animated content that explores darker themes and incorporates comedy for a unique viewing experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Animation:** Opportunity for animation studios to venture into creating more realistic and satirical content for children. - **Children's Entertainment:** Potential for children's entertainment companies to incorporate darker comedy and satirical elements into their programming. - **Media and Broadcasting:** Possibility for media and broadcasting companies to feature programming blocks that offer a unique and humorous take on popular children's shows. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cartoon-Inspired Apparel Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spongebob-squarepants-capsule.md) - [Cartoon-Inspired Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freizeit.md) - [Nautical Cartoon Soaps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patrick-star.md) - [Cartoon-Themed Cereals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kelpo.md) - [Real-Life Cartoon Burgers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/serious-eats.md) - [Adult Animated Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animated-comedy.md) - [Cartoon Swiss Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spongebob-chronograph.md) - [Luxury Cartoon Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spinnaker-fleuss-chronograph-spongebob-squarepants-eyedial.md) - [Sleek Cartoon-Themed Watches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spinnaker.md)
