# Masonry PC Pedestals The Foundation Laptop Stand Upholds the Promise of a Sturdy Surface By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-09-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foundation-laptop-stand References: [stilsucht.de](http://www.stilsucht.de/09/2012/foundation-laptop-stand/) & [dood.io](http://dood.io/) Sturdiness is one area in which the Foundation Laptop Stand aims to excel, so it was manufactured from one of the most solid materials used by humans. Concrete is certainly not what you'd expect to see when browsing for a [mobile workstation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leandesk), but nor does this product really satisfy that specification. The odd Doodio object does, however, serve as an effectively compact platform for organizing your notebook computer and its many peripherals. It has been cast into a form that resembles a model parking garage, accommodating a 13-ich laptop on top with a collection of nooks down below. Your mobile phone, your mp3 player and your external hard drive can all be tucked into the slots in the base of the Foundation Laptop Stand. Of course, you'd hardly know the clever potential of Greg Papoves' eccentric piece if it wasn't in the title. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Concrete Computer Accessories:** The use of concrete in computer accessories creates a new market for sturdy and durable tech products. - **Compact Laptop Organization:** The trend towards compact laptop organization creates opportunities for innovative designs and additional functionality. - **Eco-friendly Tech Products:** Using sustainable and environmentally-friendly materials in tech products is becoming a growing trend. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** Tech companies can capitalize on the trend towards durable and eco-friendly computer accessories by designing innovative products with unique features. - **Architecture and Design:** Within the design industry, there is an opportunity for unique and functional concrete accessories that can be used for both home and office. - **Consumer Goods:** As the trend towards eco-friendly products continues to grow, consumer goods companies can target consumers with sustainable and unique tech accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Lightweight Aluminum Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/native-union-fold.md) - [Highly Portable Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maxtand-20.md) - [Structurally Artful Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yohann.md) - [Elevated Rotating Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-hub.md) - [Elegant Laptop Elevators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grovemade.md) - [Ergonomic Whiteboard Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lift-laptop-riser-and-whiteboard.md) - [Slender Ergonomic Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onepiece-laptop-stand.md) - [Ultra-Slim Folding Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metastand-pro.md) - [Haute Tubular Laptop Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookarc-flex-macbook-stand.md)
