The [minimalist all-white space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-bottle-coffee-shinsaibashi) is now a homey outpost for coffee lovers and those in need of a snack in a friendly environment. The cafe is designed in a way that makes it resemble a pristine home kitchen, or perhaps, an example of a pristine kitchen at [IKEA](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hejworkshop). With one wall decorated with pale blue tiles above a kitchen-like counter, the space features a barista-captained island outfitted with the only other spot of color in the place; the pale blue cups and saucers. This charming cafe inside a former Post Office building is a great example of how a simple business opportunity can transform a neighborhood and help create a sense of community. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Transformation of Old Buildings:** This trend presents an opportunity for businesses to repurpose historic buildings and create unique spaces that attract customers. - **Minimalist Cafe Spaces:** The rise of minimalist cafe designs opens up opportunities for businesses to create sleek and modern spaces that appeal to customers looking for a clean and streamlined aesthetic. - **Community-centric Businesses:** The success of this cafe in fostering a sense of community highlights the potential for businesses to prioritize building strong connections with local residents and becoming a hub for social interaction. ### Who This Affects Most - **Hospitality Industry:** The hospitality industry can take inspiration from this cafe's transformation of an old building to create unique and inviting spaces for dining and socializing. - **Interior Design Industry:** The interior design industry can leverage the trend of minimalist and functional cafe designs to offer innovative and stylish solutions for various commercial and residential spaces. - **Real Estate Development Industry:** The success of repurposing old buildings for new businesses presents an opportunity for the real estate development industry to revitalize neighborhoods and maximize the value of existing structures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Layered Interior Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caf-tondo.md) - [Bed-Filled Vietnamese Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chidori.md) - [Artificial Textural Cafe Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hahouse-cafe.md) - [Retro Japanese-Inspired Cafe Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/postcard-bakery.md) - [Redeveloped Industrial Cafés](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ironworks-caf.md) - [Boldly Designed Minimal Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vinklu.md) - [Art Deco Café Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atypique-1.md) - [Spaciously Modern City Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brandor-coffee.md) - [Layered Cafe Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joe-blakes-holborn.md)
