The faucet is characterized by its bright orange finish that immediately garners attention, which requires the user to inspect it upon first glance to understand how it works. The faucet features a subtle handle just above the base that, upon activation, will allow water to pour from the extended tubular portion to provide a [flat stream of water](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volta-collection) to further elevate the aesthetic experience. The Kohler Formation 01 Faucet is paired with a cast iron escutcheon plate on the base that's embossed with both the Kohler logo and the SR_A design studio insignia to commemorate the collaboration. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 20% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Distinct Visual Experience:** Abstract industrial faucet designs like the Kohler Formation 01 Faucet prioritize creating a unique visual experience for users. - **Attention-grabbing Finishes:** Bright orange finishes on faucets, such as the Kohler Formation 01 Faucet, are becoming popular for their eye-catching appeal. - **Elevated Aesthetic Experience:** Faucets with extended tubular portions, like the Kohler Formation 01 Faucet, are designed to provide a flat stream of water for an enhanced aesthetic experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Fixtures:** The abstract industrial faucet design trend, as seen in the Kohler Formation 01 Faucet, presents opportunities for innovation in the home fixtures industry. - **Luxury Brands:** Luxury brands in the plumbing industry can explore attention-grabbing finishes, exemplified by the bright orange Kohler Formation 01 Faucet, to differentiate their products. - **Design Studios:** Collaborations between design studios, like SR_A with Kohler, can create elevated aesthetic experiences in home fixtures, as demonstrated by the Kohler Formation 01 Faucet. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stealthy Limited-Edition Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-01.md) - [Made-To-Order Modern Faucet Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathroom-faucet-creator.md) - [Ultra-Slick Faucet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kohler-billet.md) - [Brutalist Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-02.md) - [Artfully Sculptured Textured Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-formation-02.md) - [Colorful Resin Faucet Handles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chromablock.md) - [Geometrically Inspired Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fantini-oxy.md) - [Ultra-Modern Sliding Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desliz-faucet.md) - [Designer Water Purifier Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-water-purifier.md)
