# Fire Fighter Robots Forest-Clearing Transformer By lourdes sanchez bayas | Published 2008-04-24 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-clearing-robot-jordan-gueldes-fire-fighter-robot References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/index.php/2008/04/24/forest-fire-clear-cut-robot/) & [coroflot](http://coroflot.com/dbs2) This fire fighter robot was a group project designed by Jordan Guelde and Daniel Shankland II. Each designed a robot, both using the same core parts but each is meant to perform unique tasks. Guelde's robot is featured in the gallery and Shankland's can be seen at [coroflot.com/dbs2](http://coroflot.com/dbs2). "This is an advanced robot designed to clear large areas of foliage from around a forest fire to help stop the flames from spreading" says Yanko Design. Unfortunately this transformer-like, good-looking robot is not designed to be used in real life situations; it is a robot designed for entertainment purposes only. Whose entertainment? That I don't know folks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fire-fighting Robotics:** The increasing need for safer and more efficient fire prevention and control techniques promotes the development of fire-fighting robots. - **Transformative Robots:** The demand for robots that can perform multiple tasks could increase with the development of transformer-like robots. - **Entertainment Robotics:** The use of robots as entertainment value has potential for growth with video game and amusement park industries. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Robotics Industry:** There are opportunities for robotics companies to develop advanced robots that can clear large areas of foliage from around a forest fire to help stop the flames from spreading. - **Fire Safety Industry:** The fire safety industry can incorporate fire-fighting robots into their operations, providing safer and more efficient fire prevention and control techniques. - **Amusement Park Industry:** Amusement parks can explore the potential of entertainment robots designed for entertainment purposes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Levitating Firefighting Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefighting-robot.md) - [Next-Gen Wildfire Rescue Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefly-x01-fire-rescue-drone.md) - [Forest-Fostering Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualarm-robot.md) - [Extreme-Heat Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firedrone-by-empa.md) - [Flame-Throwing Robotic Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermonator.md) - [Bio-Inspired Transforming Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bioinspired-transforming-robot.md) - [Miniature Air Purifier Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plani.md) - [Autonomous Mine Detection Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mine-detector-robot.md) - [Flame-Resistant Firefighting Drones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firefighting-drones.md)
