Athletic brand [Hummel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/team-vitality-2) was the mastermind behind the team's new look and it drew inspiration from the Coventry Cathedral (also known as the [Cathedral Church of Saint Michael](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cathedral-city-nibbles)). Basil Spence and Partners was the architectural firm behind this iconic Coventry building which was consecrated in 1962. Now, the Coventry City football team can bring with them a little piece of home to every game while marking the cathedral's 60th anniversary. Hummel bases the away-kit on the colorful baptistery windows. The home kit also features the building's beautiful stained glass patterns, albeit in a different way.
