There are tons of packaged products that seem to be fully recyclable but in reality, it can be a challenge for packaging to get properly sorted when it comes to its individual components—and [PaperSeal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paperseal-shape) is being introduced to increase the [recyclability of food trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sappi-paper-packaging). PaperSeal trays use about 80-90% paperboard and 10-20% film depending on the dimensions of the packaging. The paperboard component comes from renewable fiber that's sourced from sustainably managed forests and it can easily be separated from the [film liner for recycling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sdpack-carbonlite).

The tray packaging design creates a high-quality seal like a traditional plastic tray and has the potential to be used for everything from cheese and meat to frozen foods, salads or produce.
