# Fluidly Accented Furniture Collections The 'FOLD TABLES' by Max Voytenko Have a Smooth Design By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2018-11-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fold-tables References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2018/11/26/minimal-tables-that-curve-like-paper/) The 'FOLD TABLES' have been created as a series of furniture designs by Max Voytenko to offer a contrasting aesthetic in living spaces or offices that is rigid yet fluidly functional. Each of the table designs are characterized by a [solid frame construction](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table) that has been paired with a [smooth, fluid steel sheet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table) on the interior to convey a sense of functional minimalism. The tales come in three size variations that can be used as a coffee table, side table and magazine rack, and come in either black or white color options to make them the epitome of pared-down elegance. The 'FOLD TABLES' are part of a shift towards uniform design aesthetics that don't come at the expense of functionality as consumers look for the best ways to accent their space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 91% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Fluid Design Aesthetics:** Opportunity to create furniture collections that merge solid construction with smooth, fluid lines for a minimalistic yet functional aesthetic. - **Functional Minimalism:** Chance to design furniture that prioritizes functionality while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. - **Pared-down Elegance:** Opportunity to offer furniture options that embody simple elegance and a refined aesthetic. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Chance to innovate in the furniture industry by creating collections that blend contrasting aesthetics for a unique and functional appeal. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity to incorporate fluid design aesthetics in interior spaces for a cohesive and modern look. - **Home Decor:** Chance to offer consumers furniture options that provide a balance between functionality and minimalist elegance for their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Colorful Contemporary Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/runda-tables.md) - [Impactful Industrial Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/to-steel-side-table.md) - [Paper-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoon-coffee-table.md) - [Geometric Cutout Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-table.md) - [Moveable Wave-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/side-table-concept.md) - [Multifunctional Magnetic Folding Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-table.md) - [Playful Wavy Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-table-design.md) - [Splintered Storage Console Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flitter-console-table.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md)
