Offering a little ledge below the reflective surface, this item delivers a bit of extra utility, while encouraging a clutter-free life. A very thin sheet of [stainless steel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zigzag-collection) serves as the backing and wall mount of the [wall mirror](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-bathroom-mirror), giving it a nearly negligible depth. However, the bottom few centimeters of the long 1.2-meter reflector have been upturned to a 90 degree angle, forming a [short and simple shelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-shelf). This perpendicular strip is deep enough to hold wallets, keys, handsets, makeup, soap and more. It's perfect for resting the objects that you use most frequently as you ready yourself for going out. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Mirrors:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop mirrors with built-in storage shelves to maximize functionality in small spaces. - **Multi-purpose Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create furniture pieces that serve multiple functions, such as mirrors with integrated shelves or tables with hidden storage compartments. - **Clutter-free Living:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent organizational solutions that promote a minimalist lifestyle and help reduce clutter in homes and workspaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore innovative designs for home decor that combine style and functionality, catering to consumers seeking space-saving solutions. - **Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce furniture designs that prioritize efficient use of space and offer additional storage options, adapting to modern living needs. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with interior designers to develop innovative solutions for maximizing space and reducing clutter in homes and commercial spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometrical Golden Ratio Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ascension-wall-mirror.md) - [Illusory Doorway Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panis-mirror.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Compact Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/friedrich-mini.md) - [Dynamic Structural Mirror Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bton-brut.md) - [Bifold Functional Storage Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cabine-mirror.md) - [Jewelry-Holding Flower Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-vase-stand.md) - [Wavy Dual-Action Mirrors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archvyli.md) - [Suspended Mirrored Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-collection-1.md) - [Illusory Mirror Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mirror-table-lamp.md)
