With a focus on balancing form and function, Engesvik's collaborations include popular pieces like the Lyra, [Tiki](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-series1), Bollo, and [Barba](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-furniture-collection1) designs. Each modern furniture silhouette offers distinct design elements and a strong emphasis on comfort. The Lyra Armchair and Chaise Lounge, for example, combine soft padding and ergonomic angles to provide a comfortable seating experience. The lightweight canvas-wrapped steel frame allows for flexibility and mobility, while the upholstery options in leather or textiles offer a customizable aesthetic. The Bollo Collection, on the other hand, stands out for its blend of mid-century tubular frames with plush cushioning that envelops the metal structure. It includes a lounge chair, dining chair, and barstool, all designed for both comfort and efficient material use. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.9/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 29% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Customizable Aesthetic Furnishings:** Modern furniture pieces with options for customized upholstery in leather or various textiles cater to individual consumer tastes. - **Ergonomically Designed Seating:** Chairs and lounges boasting ergonomic angles and plush padding address consumer demands for comfort in functional design. - **Hybrid Mid-century Modern Designs:** Furniture incorporating elements of mid-century design with contemporary materials like tubular frames and flexible canvases blend vintage appeal with modern sensibilities. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Furnishings:** The home furnishings industry sees a trend towards customizable, ergonomic, and hybrid design furniture pieces that appeal to a broad market. - **Interior Design Services:** Interior design services adapt to emerging demands for flexible, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing furniture options. - **Textile Manufacturing:** Manufacturers of upholstery fabrics benefit from the rising demand for customizable textile options in modern furniture design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Cozy Contemporary Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-furniture-collection1.md) - [Ultra-Sophisticated Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrasophisticated-sofa-designs.md) - [Stunning Scandinavian Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-seating-collection.md) - [Contemporary Nordic Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nordic-chair-design.md) - [Expressively Functional Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/friends-founders.md) - [Natural Beauty-Inspired Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-design-principles.md) - [Timeless Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timeless-furniture-design.md) - [Anniversary-Celebrating Modern Furniture Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-series1.md) - [Scandinavian Design-Inspired Chair Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orns-chair.md)
